In a reversal of the result away at Thanet back in July, our visitors last Saturday travelled down the coast to play us in our penultimate match of the summer. Probably smarting from the home defeat, Thanet came out all bowls blazing and won 5 of the 6 rinks 113-66. Our blushes were saved by our only winning rink of Germano Marviglia, Barbara Grundy and Dave Bartlett, (17-12).
