Dudley Hoile

Last Saturday (23 Nov) saw both men’s Dudley Hoile A and B teams play. 

Team A consisted of Joe Kelly, Dave Ferguson, Bob James and Paul Causer playing at home and the away side Dex Weyand, Tom Attaway, Ken Weyand and Adam Lawrence.  Their opponents were Bettshanger B. 

Oysters home team played a solid and consistent game with all players contributing in a convincing win of 31-11. This game was made more interesting in that father and son (Les Causer and son Paul Causer) were on opposite teams on the same rink. On this occasion the bragging rights go to Paul. 

Our away team got off to a great start and were 11-5 up after 10 ends. Although Bettshangers home team put a spirited fight back the final score ended up being 18-14 to Oyster.  Their next opponents will be Bromley C, which is not scheduled until February. 

Oyster B home side consisted of Roger Benneworth, Terry Kelly, Mark Crowhurst and Alfie Lewis, whilst the away side consisted of Wayne Diprose, Del Carter, Mike Cunningham and Dave Turner. Their opponents from Folkestone turned up with a strong experienced side and unfortunately with both Oyster B sides loosing, their run comes to an end for this year. Great effort Lads.
