After having to start from scratch with team selection on Saturday, Oyster managed to get together a team to play Dartford Stone Lodge on Sunday 8 March, in the KITL Men’s League. Unfortunately for them, DSL had one player short which meant they had to award us 10 shots and 2 points to start with. Notwithstanding this, Dartford can be a formidable team at home, having been in the top two since the League’s inception! We only won on one rink (out of the remaining five), and thanks to a commendable effort by Barbara Mac, Del Carter and Mike Cunningham (8-31) and the others keeping their losses to a minimum, Oyster somehow managed a two shot win (89-91), which was worth 4 match points. Total pain score was 8-8. (This result also meant that Thanet Men win the league again this season).
A great effort by all those involved. KITL tables
