15 May 26. EIBA Statement: Our commiserations go to Tom Holmes and Sian Honnor at the World Bowls Indoor Championship in Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia.
After a strong start to their campaign, the English duo saw their Mixed Pairs journey come to an end in the Semi Finals, with the Australian team securing their place in the final in straight sets.
Earlier in the day, both Tom and Sian also bowed out of the Singles competition at the Quarter Finals. Tom pushed Australia’s Corey Wedlock all the way before losing 2–1, while Scotland’s Sophie McGrouther edged past Sian by the same scoreline.
A tough set of results, but both players showed real quality throughout their matches in Australia.
