Welcome to the Oyster Indoor Bowls Club. Now you are a ‘member’ there may be many questions you would like to ask and, based on previous enquiries, we have provided many pages which will hopefully answer the most frequently asked questions.

Bowling Sessions

During the Winter season, we operate 5 sessions of bowling each day, Monday – Friday. These sessions may be restricted during weekends and the summer season, please check the schedules accordingly in the Members Area.

09.30 to 12.00

12.00 to 14.30

14.30 to 17.00

17.00 to 19.30

19.30 to 22.00

Each session must be paid for ‘IN FULL’, at the designated rate, regardless to whether you play the full or part of each session!

Winter Season

During the indoor winter season (from October to April), there are numerous club leagues, drives and friendly matches for ladies, men and mixed teams in combinations which are available to suit all tastes and levels of ability. Casual play is also available on most days when pre-booked. All these events take place regardless of the weather outside!

Summer Season

During the summer season (May to September) the facilities remain open on a slightly reduced schedule. This is primarily due to many members choosing to enjoy the British summer and play outdoor lawn bowls or take holidays.

However, our members continue to enjoy the sport throughout the summer as we still run many internal leagues, along with many competitions, friendly matches against other clubs and not forgetting the ‘casual’ roll-ups.

Club Kit

We have for sale, Ladies and Men’s Club Bowls Shirts, which are very reasonably priced at £25.00 each. Ladies’ sizes available from XXS to size 18 and for men, from small to 3XL.

Also available are Unisex White Jackets, available in sizes from small to 3XL, priced at very competitive £30.00 each.

Jack & Bowl

Jack & Bowl are suppliers of all things Bowls related. You will be able to purchase footwear, clothing, bowls, bags and accessories etc, when they visit Oyster on one of their very popular roadshow tours. Details of their next visit will appear on the noticeboard behind rinks 2/3.
