Opening KITL Matches

This weekend, we played our opening matches in the new KITL season.

On Saturday, the Men hosted Prince Arthur, and ran out convincing winners 134-79 (12-4), the first points for new Club Captain Brian Watson. Winning 4 out of the 6 triples, including an impressive 40-3 to our highest winning rink of Keith Dellard, John Snook and Dave Ferguson. Well done to Emma and her team for looking after the bar and the sausage ‘n’ mash meal that followed.

On Sunday, we travelled to White Oak to play our first match in the KITL Mixed League. White Oak had won 0-16 away at Prince Arthur last week, so we thought we might be up against it today – however, we managed to secure 3 of the 6 games, but lost the match overall 121-96 (10-6). Well done to all those who travelled and played. Our highest winning rink today went to Noirin Carter, John Weller and Dave Turner (14-26). We all enjoyed a well prepared meal, drinks and raffle after the match.
