On Sunday afternoon, 14 December, the Club held it’s annual Christmas Drive, where members play a game of bowls, for the (ex-President) John Cheesman Memorial Trophy, whilst wearing Christmas jumpers and having general merriment, to the accompaniment of Christmas music. A full house was recorded with 16 teams of triples battling it out across all 8 rinks. We had a break after 8 ends for traditional mince pies and mulled wine. Thank you to all of those who entered and made this a fantastic, fun afternoon!
At the end of the match prizes were awarded to the most festive dressed man and lady, as well as the runners-up and winners. The Christmas raffle was also drawn during the match, a list of prize winners can be found in another post. A big thank you to Emma who, once again, held the fort all day, ably assisted by ‘Santa’s Little Helpers’ – Dave & Adrian.
